Wishing You a Wonderful Weekend

Happy Weekend!  Do you have any fun plans?  After spending last weekend in St. Louis (you can read more about that here) we are happy to be back for now.  We are most looking forward to having friends up to Boulder for some restaurant hopping tonight.  Our plan is to start at the Kitchen Upstairs (one of my favorite cocktail bars in Boulder), maybe head to Bar Taco for a quick Margarita and end up at Emmerson for dinner.

Here are a few things I’ve been thinking about lately:

As you probably know, I’m obsessed with Ina, so I loved this article.  I was particularly intrigued by what kind of chocolate and vanilla she buys as well as #28 on the list.

I may have finally found the perfect crossbody for travelling.

Adding all of these places to my bucket list.

Cannot stop watching these videos on this Instagram.  Especially mesmerized by this one.

Since having problems with my nails I’m inspired to switch to this polish.  I really want No. 1 and No. 28.

Curious to try this, do you think it’s the new ketchup?

This article made me crave a shopping trip to Paris. Girls trip?

I can’t believe that the Columbine Shooting was 19 years ago.  I still remember where I was when it happened and what a shock it was.  19 years later and maybe we are finally starting to make progress.  So proud of my friend who started this non-profit inspired by the brave students of Parkland who are speaking up and driving change.

I would have picked #2 for you. Did you know that the Queen always wears ballet slipper? I would have never guessed you like #28 – was that a typo?

Your crossbody choice is cute but not perfect – what about safety? That strap would cut so easily and don’t you want RFID protection? Just sayin.

Cool non-profit, I will be interested to see what happens with it.

Now I want to go make beautiful pies….thanks for the inspiration!

You don’t like #28? I thought it would be pretty for a pedicure.

I like a crossbody for travel because it feels more secure since it literally goes across your body (can’t be easily swiped off a shoulder). I usually wear mine in front when in crowds and keep a hand on it, and often wear my jacket over it making it more difficult to cut the strap. That being said, a girlfriend recently introduced me to this purse which has a “guitar strap”. May you would like it more?

From my research, it seems that RFID blocking products are not all that useful. You can read more about that here.

Of course, there is always risk. Maybe I will do a travel post on all the ways we try to both avoid and prepare for something bad happening while traveling.

Thanks for your feedback! And let me know if you make a pie!
